Access’ Nancy O’Dell Lights Up Vegas Magazine

Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell is lighting up Vegas – and it’s got nothing to do with the bright lights of Sin City.

Nancy appears in the new issue of Vegas magazine, on newsstands Dec. 20, in a stunning spread.

Her cover appearance comes in conjunction with an in-person appearance that she’ll be making alongside many more of NBC Universal’s top talent at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 8 – 11.

Inside the pages, Nancy opens up about the key to her success and longevity as host of Access Hollywood over the past 13 seasons.

“The trust issue is a big one,” Nancy told Vegas writer Humberto Guida. “This business is about relationships. They know me. Celebrities come to me for exclusives because they know that although I won’t shy away from the tough questions, they’re going to be presented in a fair way.”

And while the presidential race offered Nancy a chance to revisit her “serious journalism” roots (she began her career as a crime reporter for a local station in her hometown of Myrtle Beach, S.C.), Nancy understands the right way to approach Access’ coverage of the Britney Spears and Paris Hiltons of the world.

“We don’t take ourselves too seriously, and I think celebrities enjoy that,” Nancy added. “We don’t act like these people are going to change the world or doing brain surgery.”
