Access’ Scott ‘Movie’ Mantz Nominated For ICG Publicist Award

Access Hollywood’s Scott “Movie” Mantz has been nominated for the International Cinematographers Guild Publicists’ annual Press Award, it was announced on Thursday.

Access’ resident movie expert, Mantz is featured each week in AccessHollywood.com’sBox Office Showdown” and is a regular contributor to the site with his MovieMantz Reviews and MantzRantz blogs.

“It’s a great feeling! I started working for Access Hollywood eight years ago as a researcher and to get to this point, where I’m nominated by the publicists two years in a row is an honor beyond belief,” Mantz said. “I love movies. I love watching them. I love writing about them. I love talking about them. For the Publicists’ Guild to recognize that is the biggest form of flattery in the business.”

Others nominated for the ICG award include The Hollywood Reporter’s Elizabeth Guider and USA Today’s Anthony Breznican and Claudia Puig.

This is the second year in a row Mantz has been nominated for the award, which honors outstanding journalists in the entertainment industry.

The winners of this year’s award will be announced on February 18 during a luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
