Alicia Silverstone: Brittany Murphy Was ‘So Talented, So Warm, So Sweet’

Alicia Silverstone has fond memories of Brittany Murphy, her co-star in 1995’s “Clueless” – the film that launched them both to fame.

“I always felt connected to her as we shared a very special experience in our lives together,” she said in a statement to Access Hollywood, hours after news broke that Brittany had died on Sunday morning at the age of 32. “I feel love in my heart for her – and hope she is at peace. This is truly sad.”

Though the two stars went their separate ways after “Clueless” and “didn’t stay in close touch over the years,” Alicia said working with Brittany – who played Tai, an ugly-duckling transfer student who gained a mentor in Alicia’s Cher – was a pleasure.

“I loved working with Brittany,” she said. “She was so talented, so warm and so sweet.”
