Angelina Jolie Gearing Up To Film More ‘Salt’

Angelina Jolie is heading to the East Coast in the run up to Christmas.

The sexy mother of six will head to New York next week to shoot a host of additional action scenes for her spy thriller “Salt,” Access Hollywood has learned. The shoot will take place over the next two weeks and will not conflict with the holidays, which the production is taking off.

The actress, who made box office bank with her last action film, 2008’s “Wanted,” spent most of the spring filming the project, which sees her star as Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer accused of being a Russian spy, alongside Liev Schreiber, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Andre Braugher.

But shooting the project — which was originally designed to star Tom Cruise until a casting shake up in August 2008 — hasn’t been easy.

The actress suffered a minor injury back in May while filming “Salt” on Long Island, Access previously confirmed.

“While filming an action sequence during production of her new movie ‘Salt,’ Angelina Jolie sustained a minor injury,” Sony, the studio behind the actress’ new movie said in a statement to Access at the time.

“As a precautionary measure,” the actress was taken to a “hospital and examined,” Sony previously told Access.

“Salt” is due out in July 2010.
