Angelina Jolie’s Daughter Vivienne To Make Acting Debut In Maleficent

Like mother, like daughter!

Having just turned 4 in July, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt has already landed her first role on the big screen opposite mom Angelina Jolie in Robert Stromberg’s rendition of Sleeping Beauty, “Maleficent.”

Vivienne will play a minor role as the child version of Princess Aurora opposite her mother, who stars as the evil title character, Disney confirmed to Access Hollywood on Wednesday. The live-action film explores the origins of Disney’s most iconic villain, Maleficent, and what led her to curse Princess Aurora in Disney’s animated classic Sleeping Beauty.

“Angelina thought it would be a fun experience for her and Vivienne to share, and Viv is a natural,” an inside source told Britain’s “The Sun.” “The other kids are now nagging Angelina and Brad to land them roles.”

In March, Angelina expressed her excitement about getting ready to shoot for the film, her first movie since serving as the voice of Master Tigress in “Kung Fu Panda 2.”

“It’s a really great script. I’m having a lot of fun. I’ve already got my horns fitted,” the 36-year-old actress told Entertainment Weekly at the time. “My kids are very happy.”

This will be the director’s own debut behind the camera as he works with a cast including Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.

Production for “Maleficent” is currently underway, shooting on-site in London.

The movie is scheduled for a 3-D release in theaters on March 14, 2014.
