Annette Bening Returning To Stage After Family Emergency

Annette Bening is heading back to the stage tonight after missing Wednesday’s production of Greek tragedy “Medea” due to a family emergency, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“The show will go on,” a UCLA Live rep told Access after confirming the actress is back and ready to take the stage.

UCLA Live was forced to cancel Wednesday night’s performance of the Euripides work after the actress pulled out of the single performance.

“Ms. Bening is unfortunately dealing with a family medical emergency,” a notice to theatergoers read, one patron told the Los Angeles Times, which first reported the story.

A rep for the actress told Access on Thursday that Annette is “fine.” The actress needed to take care of a “not terribly serious” family matter yesterday.

The rep did not disclose the nature of the situation, but a source at UCLA Live told the LA Times, the emergency was related to one of the actress’ children.

Bening has four children with actor Warren Beatty.
