Ashley Hebert Makes Her Selection On ‘The Bachelorette’ Finale; Gets Engaged After 2 Proposals

On Monday’s season finale of “The Bachelorette,” Ashley Hebert had two men ask to marry her – J.P. Rosenbaum and Ben Flajnik — but who did she ultimately select?

“Every second I spend with you makes me fall deeper in love with you. I want to thank you for allowing me to feel completely and utterly vulnerable and open with you,” Ben told Ashley before she turned down his proposal.

Instead, it was J.P. who won Ashley’s heart — and her hand.

Ashley and J.P. had trouble containing their excitement for one another upon meeting in Fiji.

“All the time we’ve spent together, it’s been the happiest time of my life,” J.P. told his ladylove. “And you always say to me you’re smiling all the time, you’re going to have wrinkles when you’re older. Well, I smile because of you. You bring that out. What I do know for absolute certain is that I am madly in love with you. I love everything about you.”

“Today is the reason why I went through all the good times and the bad times, and I’ve been wanting to tell you how much I loved you for so long now. You mean the world to me and I do not want to be with anyone else forever,” she told him after a passionate kiss.

“I’m so in love with you. You’re the one. You’re it,” J.P. said, getting down on one knee as he presented her with an engagement ring. “Ashley, will you marry me?”

“Yes!” she exclaimed.

The happy couple appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday night, where Ashley said they plan to marry by “the end of next year … maybe the fall.”
