I thought the holidays were busy, but that’s nothing compared to everything going on right now — both at work (award show season, the Super Bowl, the Olympics) and in the real world, AKA my hectic life (endless stream of kids’ birthday parties, school auctions, charity events, etc!)
Beauty Expert Jamie Stone (she’s the Founder/Editor of QueenoftheQuarterLifeCrisis.com) comes to the rescue with practical beauty time savers we can all use.
Shower At Night:
It’s not for everyone, but don’t underestimate the value of a good night time shower. This will give you at least an extra 20 minutes in the morning!
Don’t Mess With Your Hair:
If you absolutely have to shower in the morning, only blow dry your hair at the roots, which hold the most water. Once your hair is mostly dry, a chic sock bun will always do the trick. If you’re not a bun person, try a low ponytail — it works for any hair type! Last but not least, if you wake up extremely late and can’t shower at all, spray some dry shampoo at the root of your hair and go.
Use Multi-Tasking Products:
Don’t ever underestimate the power of blush and tinted moisturizer with SPF. When you’re running low on time, just use a tinted moisturizer (the SPF means you don’t also need to apply sunscreen!) and then sweep a pretty peach or pink over your cheeks for a healthy glow…and then GO!
It’s really hard for some of us (me included!) but keeping your makeup and beauty products organized will absolutely save you minutes in the morning. Keep the products that you use every day in a separate container from your going out eye shadow, night moisturizers, etc.
Carry Touch-Up Products:
For those products that you wear every day, keep an extra set in your car or in your desk at work. This way, you can get out the door on time and simply put on that eyeliner once you have an extra minute at lunch.
