Ben Affleck: I’m ‘Very Lucky’ To Have New Son Samuel

Ben Affleck is overjoyed with the newest addition to the Affleck-Garner household – his 7-month-old son, Samuel.

Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson caught up with actor-director while promoting his new movie, “Argo,” where he beamed about his little boy.

“I’ve just gotten to a place where it was hard to even imagine I would get to,” the actor, who said he’s “lucky” and “blessed” with his family and career, told Shaun.

“I’ve got a teammate,” he said of his son, who wife Jennifer Garner gave birth to in February. The couple also are parents to daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3.

“It’s too early on to get a sense of [his] personality, but it’s very exciting. It’s a pretty cool thing. As I said, very lucky,” he continued.

And does little Samuel have Red Sox pride like his dad?

“I try to resist the temptation to make my kids like props for sports teams’ jerseys, but it’s hard,” he told Shaun.

Ben also weighed in on his wife’s recent “wonder sperm” comment on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” something that took him by surprise.

“I like the role reversal now. It’s usually me that says the outrageous thing, and they ask her the question and she has to justify it… is that what she said? Really? Wow!” he told Shaun.

“That’s definitely… I’m going to put that on the poster for ‘Argo,’” Ben joked about his ‘70s Iranian hostage-themed movie.

“Argo” opens on October 12.
