A new princess has arrived in Queen B’s court!
Beyonce and Jay-Z are the proud new parents of daughter Blue Ivy Carter, according to multiple reports.
The 30-year-old superstar welcomed the baby girl via C-section at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City late Saturday night, with her husband by her side, according to ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
Proud papa Jay-Z reportedly shelled out a whopping $1.3 million to rent out an entire floor of the hospital for Blue’s arrival, “GMA” reported.
According to the New York Daily News, a Lenox Hill staffer said Beyonce checked into the hospital under the alias Ingrid Jackson, and employees reportedly covered security cameras and were forced to turn in their cell phones when arriving for their shifts in order to prevent a photo of the baby from being leaked to the public.
Friends of the power couple immediately took to Twitter to offer congratulatory messages.
“Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih,” Rihanna wrote, while Gwyneth Paltrow Tweeted, “Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already.”
This is the first child for Beyonce and Jay-Z, who married in 2008.
Reps for the couple were not immediately available for comment on the baby news when contacted by Access Hollywood.
