‘Biggest Loser’ Host Alison Sweeney Fakes Labor On ‘Ellen’

“Biggest Loser” host Alison Sweeney gave quite a convincing performance during a taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, when it appeared the very-pregnant Sweeney was going into labor during her interview with Ellen.

While an online report suggested Sweeney, 31, actually went into labor during her interview with Ellen, a rep for the actress told Access Hollywood it was merely part of the show.

“She did not go into labor on ‘Ellen.’ It was part of a stunt for the giveaway segment,” the rep told Access.

As they came back from a commercial break, Sweeney, who announced she was pregnant in June, was visibly squirming in her chair, causing Ellen to ask if she was having problems.

“You’re OK?… All of a sudden… should we wait?” Ellen asked. “You’d know if it was serious.”

While Sweeney tried to answer, her apparently fake labor pains prevented her from being able to say much.

“You’re kidding?” Ellen followed up.

“No, I’m not kidding,” the seemingly uncomfortable Sweeney replied.

At that point, Ellen hopped up, stepped over Sweeney (who remained on the edge of her chair) and announced it was time for the show’s “12 Days of Giveaways” segment.

Besides her hosting duties on NBC’s “Biggest Loser,” Sweeney, 31, also stars on “Days of Our Lives.”

Sweeney also has a 3-year-old son, Ben, with husband Dave Sanov. The couple tied the knot in July 2000.
