Bindi Irwin is taking the “Dancing with the Stars”
mirrorball back to Australia and her pro partner, Derek Hough, had a fun
suggestion on where to put the hardware.
“Derek had the best idea,” Bindi told Access
Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez following her Season 21 win on Tuesday night on ABC.
“In the croc pond. Right there. It’s just surrounded by
crocodiles,” Derek joked. “Like nobody can touch it. … They’re just
like—”
“Just crocs everywhere,” Bindi said with a laugh,
finishing Derek’s sentence.
“Guarding it,” he added.

Bindi is going to miss spending each day with Derek now that
Season 21 is over, but she can’t wait to see him on the other side of the
globe — after she spends some quality time with her friends at the zoo.
“It is gonna be a little bit strange,” Bindi told
Liz of not having a rehearsal to go to on Monday. “We’ve been there every
single day, seven days a week, and it’s just — it’s so much fun, ’cause I know
as soon as I step into the studio, I will have the best day because of Derek.
“You always make me laugh, I always end up on the floor
laughing hysterically,” she said, addressing her partner. “But
honestly, I’m excited to get home and be back with all of my animals, and get
Derek to Australia to feed some crocodiles, cuddle some koalas.”
And Derek will be making that visit early next month.

“DWTS” returns in March for Season 22.
