Blake Lively On Gossip Girl’s Final Season & Her Sentimental Savages Premiere Dress

“Gossip Girl” is gearing up for its final season on The CW and Blake Lively isn’t ready to see her character, Serena van der Woodsen, settle down when the show resumes for its last television stretch.

“She’d be good to be single for a while,” Blake told Access Hollywood at Wednesday’s “Savages” premiere, when Access asked her who she’d like to see Serena end up with.

With The CW drama wrapping up its run, expect to see Blake continue her blooming motion picture career, something she made some major headway on during her “GG” breaks.

“This is our final season of ‘Gossip Girl,’ so yeah, we’re excited to finish it up,” she said. “In every break I’ve had, [I’ve tried to fit in] doing a film… I love doing that and I’ll do it for as long as it makes me happy.”

The bombshell actress hit the red carpet in New York City at the “Savages” premiere in a custom-made Gucci dress and she explained it had a sentimental value.

“This dress was actually made for me by Gucci, so I was really lucky. I love yellow and it’s actually an ode to my first meeting with Oliver [Stone, who directed ‘Savages’]. I came in, in a yellow dress and we were talking about who the character should be, because she’s very cynical in the book and in the script and he said, ‘She needs to be THIS girl! This bright, hopeful, yellow girl, the sunshine girl’ and so he had [a yellow] dress in the movie… so I thought I’d bring it full circle,” Blake said.

“Savages” hits theaters on July 6.
