Blake Shelton Joins Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green On NBC’s ‘The Voice’

Country cutie Blake Shelton is joining NBC’s “The Voice.”

The soon-to-be Mr. Miranda Lambert signed on to join Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine as a coach on the upcoming reality singing competition.

“I’m not sure ‘The Voice’ knows what they signed on for by bringing me on the show,” the fun loving Blake said in a statement. “I know this for sure; Christina, Cee Lo, Adam and I are going to have a blast and I am extremely excited to be part of a show that recognizes true vocal talent.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the Peacock’s new musical competition series premieres on April 26 at 9 PM, and will be hosted by Carson Daly.

The four coaches will pick singers during blind auditions. Once the coaches have their teams, they will bring in their own songwriters, producers and industry pals to help their teams evolve.

“I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it,” Christina previously said in a statement. “To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms. I am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to ‘The Voice.’”

Talpa Productions, Mark Burnett and Warner Horizon Television will produce “The Voice.”
