Fox drama "Bones" enters the decade club when the show returns with its season premiere on September 25.
On Monday night, series stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz reflected on their show hitting its tenth season.
"It is a big deal," Emily told Access Hollywood at Fox's Fall Eco-Casino Party in Santa Monica. "It's a short list of shows that have made it to 10 seasons, so I feel very honored to be among that company. So, it's pretty exciting. I can't believe it. I feel, in one sense, I blinked and then I'm here. I did a pilot and all of a sudden, I've done almost 200 episodes, but at the same time, so many things have happened in that time and we've been able to follow these characters and these relationships over time and see how they change and that's been wonderful. "
David, who plays Booth on the show, said he knew early on that his series had a classic feel.
"It's quite an accomplishment for everybody involved, and I think when we look back at all the moments and the memories that we've had, for me, it's always moment to moment, working in the present, and when [we] did the pilot I was so excited because it had this feel when I read the script -- it had almost like a 'Romancing the Stone' kind of feel to it," David told Access. "These two characters were bickering and getting through the jungle, and I think that's pretty much similar to what Bones and I go through... and we're not travelling through jungles, but… I think we're in the concrete jungle."
Emily also shared a little hint at what's to come when the show resumes in a couple of weeks on Fox.
"Booth is in prison and we're trying to get him out and that's very dramatic," Emily said. "We think he's going to get killed in prison because he's put all these guys in prison and now he's in prison with them and they're trying to kill him, so we're working to get to the bottom of the conspiracy."
