Bristol ‘The Pistol’ Palin Talks Mom, Boys & Her ‘Dancing’ Body

It was mother mania at last week’s “Dancing with the Stars” for Bristol Palin and her professional partner, two-time mirror ball champ Mark Ballas.

During this week’s rehearsals, the charming couple opened up to Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos about everything “Dancing” – including what it was like to have both of their moms on hand for their live performance.

“I think [having my mom there] totally helped — like looking over and seeing her and my little sister was great,” Bristol told Maria at the couple’s rehearsal on Friday, of having her famous mom, Sarah Palin, in the audience. “I enjoyed having them there, and hopefully they’ll be able to come again.”

“Our moms were sitting together actually — front row,” Mark told Maria. “I got a quick look at them right before we started [our dance] and they were both like, all nervous. They looked happy and confused and scared at the same time… it was hilarious.”

“[My mom] was super happy. She had such a good time on the show,” Bristol continued. “And [our moms] were both just so proud of us and stuff. But looking over and seeing them screaming was hilarious.”

Bristol and Mark admittedly “overdid the normal amount” of rehearsal this week (in an effort to make up for time lost during a short jaunt to Alaska), but despite the rigorous dance floor workouts, the soft-spoken 19-year-old said she has yet to experience the famous “Dancing with the Stars” slim-down.

“I haven’t really noticed a change in [my body],” she told Maria. “I think most people lose weight [on the show] because they’re too stressed out to eat.”

“I haven’t had that problem!” she laughed.

Due to the pair’s grueling schedule, Bristol has been “too busy” to really enjoy the LA life – and that includes any potential romances for the newly-single young mom.

“I’m too busy to do anything like that right now,” she laughed, when asked about the possibility of dating. “No interest.”

Though Bristol is enjoying her time on the dancing competition, she currently has no plans to make California her home.

“I don’t think I ever want to live here permanently,” she told Maria, when asked if she plans to move to leave her native Alaska for Los Angeles. “I’m just having fun with the show right now.”
