Britney Spears ‘Honored’ To Meet ‘Hold It Against Me’ Video-Making Marines

Britney Spears took time out of her hectic touring schedule to salute a few very special fans on Friday.

The “I Wanna Go” singer met with a handful of the U.S. Marines HMLA 169 soldiers – the group who famously busted a move to the pop superstar’s hit, “Hold It Against Me,” in a hilarious video shot in Afghanistan back in April.

“So honored to meet the marines of HMLA-169 ‘Vipers’ who made that amazing HIAM video,” Britney Tweeted on Friday, along with a photo of herself looking glammed up and stage ready, while surrounded by casually dressed Marines.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, in April, the men and women of the U.S. Marines 266 Rein and HMLA 169 showed their Britney love – while busting out some serious dance moves — in a video posted by the proud soldiers on YouTube.

The video opened with aerial shots over what appeared to be a base camp surrounded by stark sand, along with the words, “Somewhere deep in the heart of Afghanistan…”

Two soldiers kicked off the desert dance-party, dancing and lip-syncing to the pop chart-topper.

Britney herself saw the fatigue-filled spoof after it was initially posted, and the 29-year-old star made her appreciation for the troops’ efforts known.

“I am in LOVE with this… I always knew our soldiers were fierce!” Britney posted on her Facebook page at the time, along with a link to view the soldiers’ video. “Thanks for everything you guys do… –Britney”
