Is Britney Spears about to get booted from “The X Factor”?
The 31-year-old superstar, who was reportedly paid a whopping $15 million to sign on as a judge for the show’s second season, will not return to the reality TV singing competition for Season 3, according to Us Weekly.
“They paid all that for her to say ‘amazing’ and offer half-claps,” an insider reportedly told the mag, citing Brit’s “low energy” as one of the reasons executives are displeased with her performance.
”[Simon Cowell] wanted crazy Britney, but he got boring Britney,” an additional source reportedly said.
If the “Hold It Against Me” singer does not return for Season 3, “The X Factor” will once again have to find two new judges, as music mogul L.A. Reid announced his impending exit earlier this month.
(Following Season 1, former judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were given the boot, and replaced with Britney and Demi Lovato.)
