Britney Spears To Receive Logo’s ‘Always Next, Forever Now Award’

Britney Spears has racked up another honor – this time from cable channel Logo.

Logo, the gay and lesbian-themed network from MTV Networks, will pay homage to the pioneers of today who are transforming and defining tomorrow’s pop culture with the second annual “NewNowNext Awards” 2009.

This year’s festivities will be hosted by RuPaul, and will feature a number of special guests and performers, including Britney Spears who will be honored with the “Always Next, Forever Now Award.” Given annually, this special award pays homage to beloved LGBT icons.

Premiering on Logo and simultaneously streaming on LOGOonline.com on Saturday, June 13 at 9 PM ET/PT, “NewNowNext Awards” 2009, will also feature appearances by Vanessa Williams, Lance Bass, Robert Verdi, Wendy Williams, Lisa Lampinelli, Cheyenne Jackson as well as performances by Morningwood, The Fire and Reason, RuPaul, Jeffery Self & Cole Escola.
