Camille Grammer Cites ‘Irreconcilable Differences’ As Reason For Split With Kelsey, Asks For Joint Custody

Camille Grammer has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for filing for divorce from her husband, former “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer, according to court papers obtained by Access Hollywood.

The news of the couple’s divorce, after nearly 13 years of marriage, broke on Thursday, with the actor confirming the news on his Twitter account.

In the Los Angeles Superior Court filing, released on Friday, Camille is asking a judge to award the estranged couple joint legal custody of their two children – Mason Olivia, 8, and Jude Gordon, 5. She has asked for physical custody with visitation granted to Kelsey.

She is also asking a judge to order Kelsey to pay for her attorney’s fees and award her spousal support.

On Thursday, Kelsey, an avid Tweeter, pleaded with his followers to be kind to Camille.

“To my twitter friends, I once again ask that all tweets about Camille be kind and mindful of the fact that she is the mother of my children,” he posted on his Twitter page.

Kelsey additionally asked for privacy and complimented Camille on the time they spent together.

“She has been a terrific partner for many years and should not be treated with any disrespect at this time,” he wrote. “Things fell apart between us. That is all. She is still the mother of my children and any disparagement of her will only hurt the children. Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it. I appreciate your kindness for all parties in this matter. Especially for her and the children.”

Kelsey and Camille, who is a former Playboy model, wed in August 1997. It marked the third marriage for the actor.
