Carlos Valdes: ‘Flash’ Characters’ ‘Bubbly Personalities’ Affect ‘Arrow’

“The Flash”/”Arrow” crossover event continues on Wednesday night on The CW, bringing The Flash and co. over to The Arrow’s Starling City lair.

Access Hollywood spoke with Carlos Valdes (who plays Cisco Ramon on “The Flash”) about the perks of teaming up with Oliver Queen and his crew, and the actor said he had quite a bit of fun working with Roy Harper/Arsenal (Colton Haynes) and David Ramsey’s John Diggle.

“You get me, Colton and David in a room and it’s just nonstop hilarity, for no reason,” Carlos said. “We just look at each other in a scene and we’ll just break… it’s just a recipe for disaster.”

The actor said fans will notice a shift in The Arrow lair once “The Flash” folks arrive – a noticeable lightening of the mood.

“I think what’s so fascinating is that the characters from [Starling] City start to become affected by our bubbly young personalities,” he shared. “And so there’s kind of a tradeoff there in tone.”

As for whether Cisco will ever take on the mantle of Vibe on “The Flash,” Carlos said there has been a lot of talk, but no specific game plan as of yet.

“I have had excessive conversations with [Executive Producer] Andrew [Kreisberg] about Vibe and Cisco’s future,” he said. “The appeal of these shows is that you get to learn the backstory of these characters and how they become these superheroes. So whether Vibe is a part of Cisco’s future or not is really still up in the air, as far as what we’ve talked about.”

Don’t miss night two of the crossover event – “Arrow” airs at 8/7c on The CW.
