Theories behind last week’s cast shakeup on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” continue to unravel – but Casey Wilson is laughing at a report she was let go due to her weight.
“I had an amazing time on ‘SNL,’ and these rumors are completely untrue,” the 28-year-old actress told People. “And to clarify, the issue isn’t that I’m too fat, it’s that I’m too phat. Can I get a WHAT-WHAT!”
Earlier this week, E! Online reported that Casey was let go by “SNL” because she was unable to shed 30 lbs. over the summer. E! Online also claimed show producers demanded that the actress lose weight, a claim that a rep for the show denied.
“There is absolutely no truth [to the reports,]” the rep told the People.
And as previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre alumnae Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad will be filling the shoes of Casey and Michaela Watkins – who was also let go last week.
