Casting Call: New Gigs For Jane Fonda, Chloe Grace Moretz

Jane Fonda has landed a new gig.

The actress has been tapped to play Nancy Reagan in Lee Daniels’ (“Precious”) upcoming drama, “The Butler,” according to Variety.

“Butler” chronicles the life of Eugene Allen, a butler who began his career at the White House under Harry Truman’s administration in 1952 and retired in 1986 under President Ronald Reagan.

Forest Whitaker is reportedly nearing a deal to play Allen, while Oprah Winfrey is being considered for the role of his wife, the trade paper reports.

In other casting news, “Hugo” actress Chloe Grace Moretz has landed the title role in Kimberly Pierce’s upcoming “Carrie” reboot – a role originally made famous by Sissy Spacek in the 1976 horror classic.

The 15-year-old actress confirmed “Carrie” casting rumors on Tuesday, Tweeting, “Never been so happy in my life! Thank you Kim Pierce and thank u MGM for the chance of a lifetime i will never forget!”
