Casting Call: Nicole Kidman In Talks To Play Grace Kelly In ‘Grace of Monaco’

Nicole Kidman is reportedly in talks to play yet another famous woman.

According to Variety, the Oscar winner is in negotiations to play fellow Oscar winner Grace Kelly in Olivier Dahan’s “Grace of Monaco.”

The movie, set between December 1961 and November 1962 focuses on how the “Rear Window” star – who went on the become the Princess of Monaco – successfully helped save Monaco from a coup. At the time, tensions between France’s then-President Charles de Gaulle and Monaco’s Prince Rainier III escalated surrounding the country’s standing as a tax haven.

Director Dahan previously worked with Marion Cotillard in the Edith Piaf biopic “La Vie en Rose,” which she won the Oscar for in 2008.

Kidman has a slew of projects in the works including Lee Daniels’ “The Paperboy” and Chan-wook Park’s “Stoker.”
