‘Cause This Is ‘Thriller’! ‘Glee’ Super Bowl Episode To Include Iconic Michael Jackson Song

Gleek alert! “Glee” will finally honor the King of Pop!

The hit FOX show will tackle Michael Jackson’s legendary “Thriller” for their highly anticipated post-Super Bowl episode, FOX confirmed to Access Hollywood.

A rep for the network confirmed the episode will feature the iconic Jackson song as a mash-up with another (yet-to-be-chosen) song, and will also feature covers of tracks by country group Lady Antebellum, Black Eyed Peas and Katy Perry.

Despite recent rumors, the episode will not be a tribute to MJ, nor a tribute to Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen. Instead, the show will keep the Super Bowl theme going, focusing on the McKinley High School football team’s quest for the state championship, as well as Sue Sylvester’s Cheerios competing in regionals.

The episode will be the most expensive in the show’s short history, and will feature new Gleek favorites, Blaine (played by Darren Criss) and Dot-Marie Jones’ Coach Beiste.
