Chadwick Boseman Talks ‘Black Panther’ Casting

Chadwick Boseman has been rendered almost speechless when it comes to landing the title role in Marvel’s “Black Panther.”

“I can’t put that into words,” he told Access Hollywood of landing the role when he stepped out at the Governors Awards last weekend. “It’s amazing, I’m just trying to take it one step at time.”

The 37-year-old actor gave a nod to other diverse actors in the superhero world.

“I have to give credit to Anthony Mackie and Wesley Snipes….I don’t want to act like I’m the only one doing it,” he said. “I love the fact that Marvel has decided we need to have superheroes of color and female superheroes.”

The actor is also thrilled to see the female-led ‘‘Captain Marvel” hit the big screen in 2018.

“That’s exciting to me as well,” he told Access.
