“Fifty Shades of Grey” fans, it’s time to debate. Another celebrity name has been thrown into the feature film casting rumor fire — “The Client List” hunk Colin Egglesfield.
“Why do you think I would be Christian? What are you saying? Are you saying I have a devious sexual side that I need some therapy to help treat?” Colin laughed with Access Hollywood at the Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco on Friday.
“Is that what you’re saying? Because I could do it,” he added of the Christian Grey role. “I think I could do it.”
Colin noted he hasn’t read the book yet, but will do.
“It’s on my reading list,” he added.
It wasn’t long ago that “Fifty Shades” fan Jennifer Love Hewitt, Colin’s “Client List” boss and co-star, admitted she’d love to play the role of Anastasia Steele.
“I wanna be Anastasia so badly,” “The Client List” star and executive producer told Access Hollywood in May.
“I think it would be awesome. I think it would be really, really fun,” Jennifer said at the time.
While the casting of the “Fifty Shades” movie is still a ways off, Colin is quite happy starring on “The Client List” with Jennifer.
“I was incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with Jennifer,” he told Access in Monte Carlo. “Now that I’ve had the chance to work with her for the past four months, she’s one of the coolest, sweetest, beautiful, most down to earth people I’ve ever worked with. I’d have to say it’s my most favorite acting job so far.”
And he’ll get to work alongside the brunette beauty again in just a few months. Production on Season 2 of the show begins in October.
