Confirmed: Katie Couric Headed To ‘Glee’

Katie Couric may want to add a few extra pages to her famous “Notebook” – she’s heading to McKinley High School.

A rep for Katie confirmed to Access Hollywood on Thursday that the “CBS Evening News” anchor will appear on an upcoming episode of “Glee.”

The New York Post reported that Katie will play herself on the show, likely alongside Jane Lynch’s character, Sue Sylvester.

Like Katie, the character of Sue has some television news experience of her own. Sue offers advice on a TV news program in Lima, Ohio (where the fictional show is set) under the tag line, “That’s how Sue sees it.”

Deadline previously reported that Katie’s appearance is expected to occur during the show’s post-Super Bowl episode on Feb. 6.

The move comes a little more than a month after “Glee’s” GQ cover, featuring the show’s hot young stars in tight clothing and posing seductively, was criticized by the anchor. In a segment for “Katie Couric’s Notebook” on the “CBS Evening News” in late October, the anchor called Lea Michele and Dianna Agron’s poses “raunchy,” and added, “I’m really disappointed.”
