‘Dancing With The Stars’: Disney Night & Latest Elimination News

It was Disney night on “Dancing with the Stars,” as the pairs brought stories with thrills and even “Frozen” chills to the ballroom, but for one team, it was time to close the book.

(Spoiler Alert: This story contains the results from Monday’s “DWTS.”)

After trying to bounce back in the competition, Suzanne Somers literally hit a snag on Monday night. Her heel got caught in her dress as she danced with partner Tony Dovolani, and sadly, at the end of the evening was more bad news — the two were sent home.

Before leaving Season 20’s competition, Suzanne praised Tony.

“He is a gentleman and he gave me everything he had,” she said.

But Suzanne did leave “DWTS” with some big praise from head judge Len Goodman who told her that her routine with Tony – jazz to “He’s a Tramp” — was her “best dance to date.”

For those carrying on, the stakes were raised again by several teams, most notably Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

Rumer opted to channel a Disney villain instead of a princess, and her routine – inspired by Ursula from “The Little Mermaid,” was devilishly delightful.

“It was out of this world,” Carrie Ann Inaba said of their samba, which earned the pair a near-perfect 39 out of 40 (Len gave them 9 points), and the top spot on the leaderboard.

Second place was held by two teams who tied – Riker Lynch and Allison Holker, and Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough.

Riker and Allison scored their 38 points with a paso doble inspired by “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

“That was a beast of a paso and you slayed it and you killed,” Carrie Ann raved. “My favorite paso ever!”

Nastia and Derek closed the show, earning their 38-point second place finish with a “Frozen” flavored routine.

“That was like a warm hug on a cold evening,” Len said of their jazz number.

“Bachelor” no-more, Chris Soules made headlines prior to the show after he sustained an injury to his calf muscle during rehearsal, but he managed to hit the ballroom with his pro, Witney Carson, and perform.

The two turned out a quickstep – Chris had a leg brace on – and the judges were pretty impressed.

“I thought this was your best performance by a long shot,” Carrie Ann said, as they earned 27 out of 40.
