The “Dancing with the Stars” finale starts Monday night, and the final four are feverishly preparing for the ballroom battle.
Access Hollywood caught up with Alfonso Ribeiro, Bethany Mota, Janel Parrish and Sadie Robertson to get details on their strategies as they head into the Season 19 finale.
Here’s what they had to say:
Alfonso Ribeiro
“We’re focusing on that finish line. We’re doing everything we can this week to try to get through the pains and the aches and all the rest. Witney’s choreographed an amazing routine and I’m excited to be able to do it. It’s gonna be fun.”
Regarding their freestyle dance, partner Witney Carson added, “It’s gonna be very fun, entertaining… we have one big surprise that I think everyone’s gonna really enjoy. I wanted to put some of his tap in it, because he’s a great tapper.”
Bethany Mota
“I didn’t expect myself to get this far in the competition, so I already feel so good about everything – whether I win or not… I’m definitely gonna put it all out there, because this is the last show. I want to show people that improvement that I’ve gotten.”
Derek dished on their freestyle dance, adding, “It’s definitely more fierce – it as more of an edge to it. I think other people are doing classic, Broadway-type things.”
Sadie Robertson
“Once the competition started and I started like realizing that I actually can dance, [partner] Mark [Ballas] was saying, ‘You have a chance to make it to the finals,’ I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s crazy!'”
Janel Parrish
“It’s intense, but it’s intense because we want it to be. We’re working so hard and we want to go out with a bang.”
The couple’s freestyle will be simple, she added. “It’s gonna be us doing our thing, and doing what we do best, which is just dancing together.”
“It’s gonna be beautiful, it’s gonna be meaningful, it’s gonna be from the heart, partner Val Chmerkovskiy added.
“Dancing with the Stars” Season 19’s two-part finale kicks off Monday at 8/7c and concludes on Tuesday at 9/8c on ABC.
