‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 11 Cast Unveiled, Sarah Palin Reportedly ‘Excited’ For Bristol

After weeks of rumors, “Dancing with the Stars” officially unveiled their Season 11 cast during Monday night’s “Bachelor Pad.”

Show co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke confirmed that former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff, crooner Michael Bolton, reality TV party boy Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino, R&B star Brandy, former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner, Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol, ex-“The Hills” beauty Audrina Patridge, “Dirty Dancing” doll Jennifer Grey, former Laker Rick Fox and “Brady Bunch” mom Florence Henderson will all take to the ballroom in hopes of winning the show’s famed mirrorball trophy.

Also announced as part of the cast were funny lady and “Drop Dead Diva” star Margaret Cho and former “That’s So Raven” actor Kyle Massey.

Neither Michael (The Situation, or Bolton) was present for the announcement, but the rest of the cast appeared as Tom and Brooke announced the news.

Bristol revealed that her mother, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, is already rooting for her little girl.

“She’s excited for me,” Bristol told Brooke. “She knows that this is going to be hard work, but she’s excited.”

When asked if Sarah would be making an appearance in the ballroom to check out Bristol’s moves, the young mom said, “hopefully.”

As for the Hoff, he revealed that it was his daughters – Taylor Ann and Hayley – who pushed him into the “DWTS” fold.

“My two daughters love this show and they convinced me — ‘Dad you gotta go for it.’ And life’s about a journey; it should be a lot of fun,” he said.

Jennifer, who starred with Patrick Swayze (a “DWTS” supporter before his death in 2009) in “Dirty Dancing” in 1987, cautioned viewers that she doesn’t have an advantage going into the competition.

“I’m 50. It’s been a lot of years since then,” Jennifer smiled.

No details were announced over which professional dancers would be returning and with whom they would be paired.

Season 11 of “Dancing with the Stars” premieres on Monday, September 20 at 8 PM. Results shows will air on Tuesdays at 9 PM.
