Daughter: Why Andrew Koenig’s ‘Frustrated’ Parents Walked Off ‘Larry King Live’

Water and Judy Koenig, the parents of missing star Andrew Koenig, walked off the set of “Larry King Live” on Wednesday night before their planned appearance – and daughter Danielle is explaining why.

“[‘Larry King Live’] kept pushing the segment back and my dad was growing frustrated,” Danielle, the sister of the missing “Growing Pains” star, told Zap2it. “When he realized there were only four and a half minutes left, he didn’t feel that was enough time to do my brother justice, so he left.”

Previously, Larry King had Tweeted that the pair would make an appearance.

“The parents of missing actor Andrew Koenig will be on tonight,” he Tweeted on Wednesday.

And during the show, he said that the two “got up and left for reasons unknown” before their segment.

“Still not sure what happened with the Koenigs,” Larry Tweeted afterward. “I talked to them in the break and told them they were on next. Then they left….”

Walter – known for his role as Pavel Chekov on “Star Trek” — and Judy had appeared on NBC’s “Today” show earlier on Wednesday to ask for the public’s help in the search for their son.

The 41-year-old former “Growing Pains” star was last seen at a bakery in the Stanley Park area of Vancouver, British Columbia. “Today” reported that police say there is no evidence of foul play at this time.
