David Beckham has a new all-important award on his mantle –
Sexiest Man Alive!
The
40-year-old athlete was crowned with the coveted titled by People for 2015.
“It’s
a huge honor,” the soccer stud told the mag. “And I’m very pleased to
accept.”
Though fans have been swooning for the Brit for decades,
David claims to not know what all the fuss is about.
“I
never feel that I’m an attractive, sexy person,” he told the mag. “I
mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel good, but I
don’t ever think of myself that way.”
Wife Victoria Beckham was happy to learn of David’s latest
honor.
“I
would hope that she feels this way about me all the time anyway!” he
explained. “But she said, ‘Congratulations!’ ”
Recent
previous Sexiest Man Alive honorees include Chris Hemsworth in 2014, Adam
Levine in 2013 and Channing Tatum in 2012.
