David Bowie’s ex-wife, Angie Bowie, will remain in the UK “Celebrity Big Brother” house despite the rock star’s death.
Producers of the reality show informed Angie of David’s death off-camera, as she and the other contestants are cut off from communication with the outside world during their time in the “Big Brother” house.
“Following the very sad news of David Bowie’s death, we can now confirm that Angie Bowie has been informed off camera by her representatives,” read a statement posted on the show’s official website.
“She has taken the decision to continue in the programme.
“The decision to remain in the House is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind. Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed,” the statement continued.
The current season of “Celebrity Big Brother” kicked off earlier this month and goes through February.

David and Angie wed in 1970 and were married for 10 years, before divorcing in 1980. The ex-couple has one son together, filmmaker Duncan Jones.

“The struggle is real, but so is God,” noted a photo the supermodel (who married David in 1992) posted on her Twitter page, along with the caption, “Rise.”
The day prior, Iman Tweeted a photo of the message, “Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
