Demi Lovato Explains Selena Gomez Falling Out: ‘People Grow Apart’

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez used to be BFFs, but Demi recently unfollowed Selena on Twitter, leaving many of their fans wondering what happened between the onetime friends.

On “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday, Demi was asked what went down by host Andy Cohen during the late night show’s Plead the Fifth segment.

“You recently unfollowed your BFF Selena Gomez on Twitter. So much speculation about this! Can you tell us why?” Andy asked.

“Um, I plead the sixth, if that’s in the game,” Demi said.

“Are people reading too much into it? Are they reading into something that doesn’t exist?” Andy inquired.

“I think it’s just one of those things where people change and people grow apart,” Demi explained.

The “Really Don’t Care” singer was also asked, “Shag, Marry, Kill: Joe Jonas, Justin Bieber, Simon Cowell.”

“I’d kill Bieber. I’d kill Simon. F***, I’d kill Joe, too!” Demi joked. “No, Joe and I are good friends, so I wouldn’t kill him. I’d keep him around.”

Fellow “WWHL” guest Jessica Alba asked, “Who would you shag?”

“None,” Demi said.
