Denise Richards Had ‘Fun’ Acting Alongside Charlie Sheen On Anger Management

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen’s marriage might not have worked, but the former husband and wife can still make magic when sharing the screen together in FX’s “Anger Management.”

“I’m so excited for the show and him and he asked if I would do an episode and I did,” Denise told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, when she visited Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday. “We actually have fun together.”

Despite their split, Denise says she has a great relationship with her headline-making ex.

“I think it was more weird for people on set watching us work together,” she explained. “For us, we get along quite well. We see each other often… We met working, we worked together while we were married. I did a couple of episodes of ‘Two and Half Men.’ This is the first thing we did after our divorce.”

“Is it as good as ‘Two and Half Men?’” Kit asked.

“It’s a totally different show. I personally – he’s going to kill me for saying this – I think [‘…Men’ boss] Chuck Lorre is brilliant writer, I like ‘Two and a Half Men’ too, but I think this is a whole different show,” the 41-year-old star said. “I think his character is more evolved on it and more mature. You can’t even compare them. They’re two totally different shows.”

Denise promises that Charlie isn’t pulling any punches on his new comedy.

“I wouldn’t miss the opening of the show,” she added with a smile.

While they reunited on screen for the new show, Denise was quick to squash any notion of a possible rekindling of their romance.

“I don’t think so, I’m way too old for him… he likes 20-year-olds,” she said with a laugh.

“Anger Management” premieres on June 28 at 9 PM on FX.
