Richards and Samboras relationship attracted a host of media attention when they started dating last spring.
Sambora is the now ex-husband of what was presumed to be a close friend of Denises Heather Locklear. After pictures emerged showing Denise was dating Richie, relations between she and Heather cooled.
Richards was previously married to Charlie Sheen, the father of her two little girls.
