Diddy: I Don’t Raise My Kids ‘As Celebrity Children’

Diddy might be one of the world’s most successful hip-hop moguls, but when it comes to son Justin Combs – who is playing football at UCLA – the star is just a proud dad in the stands rooting with the rest of the crowd.

“He’s done everything normal,” Diddy said when asked about his son, who is a freshman at UCLA, by Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

“That’s one of the things that I think that raising my kids – myself and the mothers of my children – we don’t raise them as celebrity children,” Diddy continued.

“We don’t allow taking pictures at their recitals and things like that. We don’t wanna be rude or nothing, but it’s their time, it’s their moment. I’m there to support them as a parent,” the father of six continued.

That same parenting philosophy also applies on game day.

“So even the tailgating situation, I just go there as a parent,” he told Billy and Kit. “I tell people like, ‘I’m off today. I’m really here to support my son.’ It’s about my son.”

But Diddy isn’t shy about showing off his Bruin pride!

“I dress in full UCLA garb,” he said of his game day gear. “I’m fully committed, I’m a full Bruin.”

Diddy also chatted with Billy and Kit about CiROC Ultra Premium Vodka and Maxim partnering to find CiROC’s Military Brand Ambassador.

“Their jobs are stressful… one of the things I saw was when a lot of our veterans were coming home they weren’t getting jobs so I came up with this idea… I wanna hire some people from the military to be military ambassadors to myself and the military community,” he said.
