Donald Faison & Zach Braff On Where Turk & J.D. Would Be Now; Talk Working Together Again On The Exes

Donald Faison was all smiles on Tuesday when his former “Scrubs” co-star, Zach Braff, hit the set of his TV Land comedy, “The Exes.”

Hanging with his pal, who is making a guest appearance on his latest show, has been a blast, but Donald told’s Laura Saltman that he had to warn his “Exes” castmates that he was going to be very Zach-focused.

“I warned them before they got here that I’m going to be hanging all over him,” Donald told Laura. “It doesn’t mean I don’t love you anymore. He’s here for only a week. I gotta show him love.”

Zach revealed he has come by to visit Donald on the set, although this trip to the set marks his first time working on the show.

“I love coming by,” Zach said. “Coming to watch the tapings is fun ‘cause you come by [and] they’ve got a full bar. When you’re not in the show you can enjoy the full bar and those little hot dog things — [pigs] in a blanket, no one’s ever mad to see a pig in a blanket.”

As previously reported on, Zach will play Chuck Feeney, a professional tennis player, who is also a client of Donald’s character, Phil. He’s known as a ladies man, but it turns out Chuck is a man’s man.

“The Exes” episode featuring Zach will air on August 29, and Donald is already ready to book Zach back on the show.

“If I could get him back for another one, that would be great,” he said.

The two also revealed they’d be open to guesting on fellow “Scrubs” alum Sarah Chalke’s fall-due comedy for ABC, “How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life,” if they get the call.

“We’d love to,” Zach said. “Sarah’s hilarious and her new show looks really funny, so sure.”

Although they’ve moved on, the guys did offer a response when Access’ Laura asked what their “Scrubs” characters might be doing now.

“Spooning,” Zach said.
