Donald Trump Takes Aim At Rosie O’Donnell Following ‘The Rosie Show’ Cancellation

Donald Trump has reopened his feud with Rosie O’Donnell, by slamming the exiting television host on Twitter.

“Rosie O’Donnell has failed again. Her ratings were abysmal and Oprah cancelled her on Friday night,” Trump Tweeted on Monday morning. “When will media executives learn that Rosie just hasn’t got it.”

on Friday evening, the Oprah Winfrey Network announced that “The Rosie Show” will tape its final episode on Tuesday, March 20. The final episode will air, Friday, March 30.

In October of last year, Trump told Access Hollywood he actually was hoping for Rosie’s show to be successful, after her ratings dropped from an initial 500,000 to around 417,000 viewers.

“I felt badly that her ratings were so bad,” Donald told Access at the time.

“Actually, I would like to see her be successful because everything Oprah does, ultimately, is successful, so I think Rosie will be successful,” Donald added.

In fact, when asked if he’d ever want to appear on her show, Donald predicted Rosie’s show would do well.

“If she called, would you do the show?” an Access producer asked.

“I don’t think so, but I think she’ll be successful,” he said.

In early February, following low ratings, around 30 employees were laid off from “The Rosie Show,” according to The Huffington Post.

In January Variety reported that, after its premiere brought in 321,000 viewers, ratings slipped to around 204,000 an episode.
