Ed Sheeran Admits He Sharted On Stage

Ed Sheeran wins the celebrity overshare award this week!

While playing the “Yes/No” game during an interview with Nova in Ireland, the “Photograph” singer was asked if he’s ever “broken wind” onstage (classy!).

Ed took the conversation to a new level with his candid TMI response, admitting he “farts” on stage “all the time.”

“I actually once misjudged a fart on stage, which ended up being a shart,” he revealed. (For those unversed in bathroom slang, a “shart” is a blend of the words “sh*t” and “fart” – you can figure the rest out on your own, thanks.) “It was, like, midway through a performance and I was really lively, and then halfway through I was like, ‘All right I’m just going to stand for the rest of the performance, and hope it’s over soon and then go home and throw these trousers out!'”

He then began to explain the reasons behind his sharting mishap, as the interviewer tried to stop him, interjecting, “No, no – you can say less if you want!” to no avail.

Continued Ed, “I’d flown from London to Tokyo to Sydney to England all in the space of three days and it just messed me up. I was very ill.”

Following his poop revelation, the eternal good sport was asked if he’s a member of the mile high club.

“No,” Ed answered. “You do it on a private jet, but I’ve never been on a private jet without people that I work with. And they get paid, just not that well. Not well enough to take it in the… well, you know!”
