Eliza Taylor On Clarke’s ‘The 100’ Season 3 Journey

The CW’s
thrilling futuristic drama “The 100” returns on Thursday night.

When things resume, expect to find
Clarke in a new place.

“Obviously there’s like a
three-month time jump, so we pick up the season a lot further along than we
have been in previous seasons,” Eliza Taylor, who plays the character,
told Access Hollywood.

Clarke — as promo photos have revealed – is looking very different in Season 3, in disguise and living far away from her people after leaving them at the end of Season 2 after paying a huge price to save them.

“Basically, at the end [of Season 2] she was just like, ‘I can’t handle the things that I’ve done so I’m going to run away from all my problems,’ which is so not a Clarke thing to do and I think there are a lot of people mad at her for that and she’s basically just been – she’s turned into a Grounder, she’s just living off the land and hunting and trading and doing whatever she can to survive and not go back to Camp Jaha.”

And when we see Clarke again, expect her to be even stronger than before (if that is even possible).

“I got to have some like pretty good fight scenes,” Eliza laughed. “She’s definitely a lot more cutthroat than she was. I think she’s kind of ignoring her sensibility and going more for survival mode.”

Clarke will start out the season surviving on her own, but she won’t be on a solo journey for long.

“This season… she starts off ignoring all her demons and running away from them and of course they catch up with her and it’s a physical journey, but a lot more it’s an emotional journey, especially with the introduction of Lexa again and having to face her who — the one she loved that betrayed her and it gets pretty messy,” Eliza said.
