“This has been fun,” Chris said, before trying to get co-host Erin Andrews to ask Witney questions, because he appeared a little choked up after learning he was going home.

But co-host Tom Bergeron persisted, and Chris explained he was emotional because “Dancing” has been, “an incredible experience” for him, and one he was “just thankful to have been a part of.”

Chris said competing on “Dancing” has been “life changing.”

“And I’m forever grateful,” he added.

Earlier in the evening, “Shark Tank” star Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson were also cut from the competition.

“I think it’s great to be here at this show,” Robert said, after he and Kym were told they were going home. “This show is such an inspiration to so many people. I’m so honored to have been able to do this. It was so much fun.”

Tom offered some encouraging words for Robert before he left the ballroom.

“Robert, you may not have won a mirrorball trophy, but I’m suspecting you’ve won someone’s heart. That’s not bad,” Tom said, referring to Kym.

But, Robert quickly changed the subject.

“Tom, I’m not sure I feel that way about you,” Robert said.

“DWTS” continues next Monday at 8/7c on ABC.
