Farrah Fawcett Heads To Germany To Battle Cancer

Farrah Fawcett has traveled to Germany for help in her battle against cancer.

Fawcett is seeking alternative treatments to battle the disease, which returned earlier this year, a friend of the former “Charlie’s Angels” star told Access Hollywood.

While the National Enquirer reported that Cher was the person responsible for encouraging Farrah to seek alternative treatments in Germany, a source close to Fawcett tells Access Hollywood that is not the case.

“Cher is a friend who has been encouraging and supportive of Farrah in general, but no, not specifically about Germany or alternative treatments,” the source said.

Farrah is receiving a “combination of alternative treatments, both medicinal and herbal,” the source told Access Hollywood. No further details about the remedies she is seeking were available at press time.

Meanwhile, in related news, Fawcett’s battle with cancer is being documented. The actress is allowing a film crew to follow her through her journey.

Craig Nevius, a friend of the actresses who previously served as Executive Producer for “Chasing Farrah,” is spearheading the new project.

According to Nevius, Farrah is allowing her battle to be filmed to help out others.

“She believes the footage will educate people, inspire others and save lives,” he told Access Hollywood.
