‘Friends’ Cast Reunites to Honor Top TV Director

The cast of ‘Friends’ were reunited recently – with the exception of Matthew Perry – and were joined by new friends from another popular TV comedy “The Big Bang Theory.”

Cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer were all smiles while posing with “Big Bang Theory” stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg and Kaley Cuoco. “BBT” actors Parsons and Cuoco showed their excitement for the rare photo opp with both stars posting the same pic to their own Instagram accounts.

The occasion for the ‘friendly’ photo opp was the result of a
star-studded event in Los Angeles on Sunday, when cast members of TV’s
most iconic comedy series gathered to tape NBC’s upcoming special which
honors legendary TV director James Burrows, “Must See TV: A Tribute to
James Burrows” which will air Sunday, Feb. 21.

Burrows is
recognized by the industry as one of TV’s most accomplished comedy
directors. He made his TV sitcom directing debut with a 1974 episode of
“The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” and his work has gone on to include iconic
shows “Taxi,” “Cheers,” “Frasier” and “Will & Grace.” The recipient
of 10 Emmy Awards, Burrows also directed the pilots for all four series
as well as for other long-running comedies as “Friends,” “The Big Bang
Theory,” “Two and a Half Men,” “Two Broke Girls” and “Mike & Molly.”
