Prince’s loved ones have received aid from an
unexpected source – George Lopez.

A source close to Prince and his family told
Access Hollywood over the weekend that the comedian gave financial
assistance to Prince’s half-brother, Alfred Jackson, and the late singer’s
other siblings.

The source said that George had money wired with
the intention of helping with travel arrangements and hotels as the siblings
convene to assess the fate of Prince’s estate.

The family gathered at Prince’s Paisley Park compound in Minnesota last week following reports that he left no known will,
and a court hearing is set for Monday.

According to the source, George’s kind gesture
was done without any expectation.

“[George] doesn’t want a penny back,”
the source told Access, explaining that the comedian and the music icon “were close.”

“Prince called George his friend,” the
source said, adding that the pals would “drive each other crazy” all
in good fun.

Prince guested on George’s former late-night talk
show “Lopez Tonight” in 2011, and the source said George attended
several Prince shows “on personal invite.”

A rep for George Lopez had no comment when
contacted by Access Hollywood.
