Glam Slam: Anne Hathaway’s Winning Look

Not only did “Les Mis” star Anne Hathaway take home major Golden Globes hardware, she also scored raves for her winning look from her gorgeous gown to her hair and makeup.

Here’s how you can achieve her red carpet beauty!

MAKEUP:
WHO: Chanel Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Lee

INSPIRATION: Annie wore an ice-white beaded gown by CHANEL with CHANEL Fine Jewelry! The look was elegant, but still youthful and light. I felt that the makeup should mirror this, and wanted Annie to appear as if lit from within, so I concentrated on making the complexion as tactile as possible, and added a dash of blue pink to the lips as a focal point.

HOW TO:
SKINCARE: CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum followed by CHANEL Base Lumière Illuminating Makeup Base.

FOUNDATION: I used CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 to keep the skin looking radiant. I added a small amount of CHANEL Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 only where needed.

BLUSH: On the cheekbones, I used a light sweeping touch of Poudre Signée de Chanel Illuminating Powder to illuminate the bone structure; I also followed this along the clavicle and over the shoulder blades. On the apple of the cheek, I used a pale peach blush to contrast the lip color.

EYES: I defined Annie’s eye socket with CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Fauve which is a delicious grey/lilac shade. I ran the color along the base of the lower lashes to finish the look.

MASCARA: Lashes were curled and given a coat of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir. I then added a selection of lashes for a customized shape.

LIPS: Lips were CHANEL Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Sedusicante, the perfect pink for a perfect pout.

HAIR:
WHO: Frederic Fekkai’s Adir Abergel

THE LOOK: A loose, romantic style inspired by Anne’s Chanel gown and vintage Chanel advertisements from the 1990s and early 2000s (featuring model Stella Tennant)

HOW TO:
Begin by applying Fekkai COIFF Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel on freshly washed hair. Spray the hair from roots to ends to create maximum volume and add texture.

As hair begins to naturally dry, finger-comb it into place. Finish drying the hair by blow drying it with a diffuser, using only your hands to create soft, natural waves.

Next, apply Fekkai COIFF Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax to add additional texture and intensify the look.

Finish the look with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray for strong, yet flexible hold that will last all night.
