Glam Slam: Fab Fundraiser With The Family

Steven Tyler, Zoe Saldana, Cindy Crawford and Tori Spelling, as well as tons of other stars and even yours truly hit the John Varvatos 9th Annual Stuart House Benefit in Hollywood this past weekend. My husband and I brought our 3-year-old daughter, who had an awesome time!

What was not to like? She got to get creative at several craft tables in the Hasbro kids tent, which was full of all kinds of games and fun activities. There was a hip magician who kept the kids enraptured. Mr. Potato Head made a special visit for photo ops. (That’s my daughter with him!)

There were airbrush tattoo artists and a team creating unique balloon art—including adorable headbands for the kids.

Ice cream was made right on the spot using liquid nitrogen by Los Angeles company Nitro Dreams. There was popcorn and cotton candy — the first time my daughter’s ever had any and she was on such a sugar high! Needless to say, she became an instant fan.

In-N-Out Burger and Hot Dog on a Stick both had food trucks there and for the first time in many, many years I had a pepper jack corn cheese on a stick. So bad for my diet, but boy did it taste good!

More than 1,500 guests attended the event, which was hosted by Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow, and featured silent and live auctions and a performance by Dave Matthews.

The event benefited Stuart House, which is UCLA’s Rape Treatment Center for sexually abused children. A whopping $700,000 was raised!
