Grimm Scoop: David Giuntoli & Sasha Roiz Warn A ‘Kerfuffle’ Is Coming Between Nick & Renard

Expect Detective Nick Burkhardt and Captain Sean Renard to come to blows during the second half of “Grimm’s” Season 2, returning to NBC this March.

“Not to spoil it too much,” series star David Giuntoli began at the NBC portion of the Television Critics Association Winter Tour 2013 in Pasadena, Calif., “but it finally all comes to a big, angry…”

“Kerfuffle,” Sasha Roiz, who plays Capt. Renard, chimed in.

“Yeah, kerfuffle… to resurrect a word, and yeah, it comes to blows,” David, who plays Nick, continued. “And he has a height advantage on me, but I have a rage advantage.”

It’s likely that many reasons will be responsible for the battle – for starters, Nick will find out that Capt. Renard isn’t exactly human, and, of course, at the end of 2012, Nick realized that his girlfriend suffering from memory loss – Juliette — has a thing for his boss.

“It’s been a longtime coming. I was very excited to finally have a confrontation,” Sasha said. “We’ve waited a season and a half to see what will transpire when he finally discovers [Renard’s secret]. It’s gonna be powder keg and it’s a lot of fun to work with David on a whole other level now that he’s in the know.”

And the show is expected to get a little bit steamier too.

“There a tremendous amount of stuff going on,” Bitsie Tulloch, who plays Juliette, said. “And in addition to the kerfuffle between these handsome men, there was also a sort of bedroom scene that was so intense, it required a stunt coordinator and hours of rehearsal, which ‘Grimm’ has not yet done, which is really, really fun and crazy.”

Asked by a reporter who her partner is in the scene, Bitsie commented, “I shall not say.”

“Grimm” returns Friday, March 8 at 9/8c on NBC.
