Harrison Ford: Indiana Jones Could Return For Fifth Movie

With rumors of a return to his Han Solo “Star Wars” role, Harrison Ford is teasing fans with talk of another turn at an iconic character – Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. – aka Indiana Jones!

The 71-year-old actor says there is still time to dust off the fedora and find his trusty whip.

“We’ve seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it’s perfectly appropriate and OK for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn’t necessarily have to kick as much ass,” a report from The Telegraph quotes the actor as saying.

The character was last seen in 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” which might have been panned by many critics and fans (remember the aliens and Shia LaBeouf swinging through the trees with monkeys and Harrison escaping an atom bomb in a refrigerator?!), but it went on to make over $317 million at the box office.

“To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do,” the actor said.

This isn’t the first time Harrison has hinted at returning to the archeology-loving adventurer role. Back in 2010, he spoke to Access Hollywood about a possible fifth installment in the franchise.

“Oh sure, I’d love to do it,” he said at the time, explaining that George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are key to making it happen.

“If there’s something that the three of us can agree on then I’d love to do it,” he added.
